Benny "The Rave Father" Benassi

Benny Benassi whose real name is Marco Benassi was born in Milan on 13 July 1967. He was a Grammy Award winning Italian disc jockey (DJ) and record producer of electro house music. He is best known for his 2002 summer club hit "Satisfaction".

On October 28, 2009, DJ Magazine announced the results of their annual Top 100 DJ Poll, with Ultra Records artist Benny Benassi placed #26, 13 spots higher than the previous year.
A native of Reggio Emilia, DJ/producer Benassi, also known as The Rave Father, started DJing alongside cousin Alle Benassi in the late 1980s in their hometown, before moving to Larry Pignagnoli's Off Limits production studio in the mid 1990s, creating music for various acts, including Whigfield, J.K. and Ally & Jo.

Benassi first hit the dance floors with projects of his own, in 2001, with the single "I Feel So Fine", released under the name KMC with vocals by Dhany. The track first climbed the charts in Benassi's native Italy, and soon became a #1 hit in the UK club charts.

Moving from house to electro, "Satisfaction" took Benassi's success worldwide a year later with high-profile DJs like Carl Cox, Darren Emerson, and Roger Sanchez offering praises. The track reached #2 in the UK Singles Chart after the Ministry of Sound record company replaced the original video (an almost still picture of the band, overlayed with graphics) with a video of models using power tools.

Released in 2003, the "campy" and "quirky" Hypnotica was Benassi's solo debut album. At the end of 2004, he won the European Border Breakers Award for Hypnotica, which racked up the most sales for an Italian album outside Italy.

Benassi often works with vocalists Paul French and Violeta, who are collectively known as The Biz. He produced a group with cousin Alle, called Benassi Bros., a project designed to shine the spotlight on the two Biz vocalists, Paul French and Violeta Claudia and other guest singers. A year after the release of Hypnotica, thr album Pumphonia marked their first full length release. And, in 2005, Benassi Bros. released their second album,Phobia.

Some of Benassi's singles have charted high in the United Kingdom and have been played worldwide in clubs. Remixes for OutKast, Goldfrapp, and Felix da Housecat followed. Benassi also remixes music of his contemporaries, such as Tomcraft and Fischerspooner.

In 2005, Benassi founded the record label Pump-Kin Music. The focus of the label is primarily new and unsigned producers. The stated aim of the venture is to give exposure to some of the lesser known DJ/production talent across the world.

In August 2007, Benassi released a remix of Public Enemy's "Bring the Noise". The video for the track was created by Eclectic Method and features a montage of live footage from Public Enemy. It premiered on imeem.com. In February 2008, "Bring the Noise" won a Grammy for best Remix (Dance).

His album Rock 'n' Rave was released on June 16, 2008. The first single from the album was "I Am Not Drunk.". Benassi also broadcasts the one-hour long The Benny Benassi Show on Sirius XM Radio's channel Area.

In 2010, Benassi released "Electro Sixteen", a video for Benny Benassi vs. "Iggy Pop", “Electro Sixteen,” published by Ultra Records, which is an experimental music video featuring more than 15,000 photographs from his DJ set at New York’s Electric Zoo Festival.

On May 24, 2010, "Spaceship", which featured Kelis, apl.de.ap and Jean-Baptiste, was selected as the Song of the Day on About.com, with the site calling Benassi's production "tight and melodic, [while] Kelis turns in a fantastic performance." The single was released via digital download on August 21, and charted at #18 on the UK Dance singles chart on August 28."

On January 23, 2011, Benny Benassi released the music video for "Electroman", a single featuring T-Pain.

Benassi is featured on the track "Beautiful People", off Chris Brown's latest album, F.A.M.E..

On June 7, Benny Benassi released a new album titled Electroman, which includes several singles, such as "Cinema", "Electroman", "Spaceship" and "Control". (source:http://en.wikipedia.org/)

Benny's DJ style is easy listening, although sometimes there are some track that need to listen to many times in order to find the right path to enjoy it. it's kinda electro, sort of house-tec, dirty and cool, sweaty and smooth. My favorite song is "Satisfaction" and "No Matter What Do You Do", every rhythm that I hear from both songs are always managed to make my mind more focused.

Andy Moor, I Want More!!

Grammy-nominated Andy Moor (born Andrew Beardmore on January 16, 1980 in Stoke on Trent, United Kingdom) is an icon in the electronic dance music industry is one of the world's most credited trance and progressive producer-DJs. He has used multiple aliases in the past (Dub Disorder, Dwight van Man, Sworn) and has been part of Indigo, Leama & Moor, Lewis & Moor, Tilt, Whiteroom, and Zoo DJ's. Undeniably one of the most respected producers in the genre whose substantial talents and work ethos have earned him a catalogue of accolades.
Recently nominated for the 2009 DJ Awards, Andy is currently rapidly scaling the DJ Mag’s Top 100 @ 15th. Named Best Trance Producer and Best Trance Track at the 2004 Trance Awards, Best Dance Record at the 2006 International Dance Music Awards, Andy received his Grammy nod with a magical remix of Delerium-Angelicus in 2008.

He has also been voted 30th 2 years consecutively by DJ Magazine in 2005 and 2006 by dance music fans and currently sits at number 18 in the world. Moor was nominated for a Grammy Award in December 2008, for his remix of Canadian artist Delerium with "Angelicus" featuring vocals from Isabel Bayrakdarian.

Despite his impressive fan base, Andy remains humble and serious about his craft. His producing and remixing magic has already set fire to the work of celestial artists Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Paul Oakenfold, Brian Eno, Tiesto, Arthur Baker and Nadia Ali, to name but a few. This follows enthusiastic acclaim for his albums Explorer with Tilt, and Common Ground with Leama & Moor and the highly anticipated artist album due for release in early ‘10.

Andy Moor’s last remix, Nadia Ali – Love Story soared to the climatic #1 spot on Billboard Breakout Chart, the Billboard Dance Chart and Beatport Trance. Not to be outshone, this summer’s collaborations with Ashley Wallbridge on Faces and Stadium Four with Lange are receiving the highest possible acclaim and support from the industry. Up next is the highly anticipated follow up Delerium remix, released on the self-titled album early 2010. A new mix compilation series, Breaking the Silence has just been released on his own record label AVA recordings, capped by a world tour. AVA recordings has gone from strength to strength, beginning life in 2006 to become one of the leading labels in the scene today.

A landmark on the tour scene, Andy mesmerizes clamoring EDM fans with his technical ability, turntable skills and creativity. Mixing with a white-hot sense and individual style, it’s not difficult to understand why Moor’s talent is so much in demand. Moor Music Podcast, Andy’s iTunes-available radio show, defines the essence of EDM with a cult following responsible for more than 150,000 downloads per episode.
Moor began his journey at an early age.

At five he mastered his first piano piece. Six additional musical instruments by the age of eleven, he later spun his first record at the age of thirteen. Twenty-one saw him dominating stages the world over and now at the experienced age of twenty-nine, he is considered a veteran in the industry. Humility and raw talent have proven an undeniable attraction to fans and novices alike. His work is identifiable and his ethic authentic. Andy Moor’s future is definitively unlimited.

He has also produced and remixed tracks for artists such as Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Paul Oakenfold, Brian Eno, Tiësto and Arthur Baker

Despite his rise to prominence in the scene, Andy has remained incredibly grounded, communicating frequently and affably with his fan base through various social networking channels. In the studio Moor has been at the forefront of the rapidly evolving music scene, constantly pioneering new sounds and techniques rather than relying on a tried and tested production formula. When he’s not in the studio or on tour, Andy stays busy running his own record label AVA Recordings, which has remained one of Armada Music’s strongest outlets, consistently releasing the finest in progressive and trance from a talented roster of new and veteran producers including: Ashley Wallbridge, Tydi, David Forbes and Tritonal.

This year Andy plans to reduce his tour diary, with the intention to spend some more time in the studio. After his 2005 collaborative album “Explorer” with Tilt received such a positive reaction, plans were put in place for Moor’s own artist album, which fans will be delighted to hear is well under way. Although his tour dates may be temporarily slowing down in order to concentrate on the new album, the future of the Moor legacy shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. (Source: www.wikipedia.org)

"Faces" makes me really feel the pleasure of a musical trance. Also new song entitled "Fight The Fire" gives a sense of its own to figure Andy Moor as a world-class DJs.

tyDi The Rhythm of Aussie

tyDi (born Tyson Illingworth on 31 May 1987) is an Australian DJ and producer. He is currently listed as Australia's #2 DJ, losing out in 2010 to Aston Shuffle after holding the #1 spot for the previous two years

Introduced to dance music in his mid teens, it took only a few short months before tyDi had traded in his drum kit and bought his first set of turntables. By the time he was sixteen, he had won his first competition, Brisbane DJ Wars. At the age of 17, tyDi moved from his hometown of Mooloolaba Beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, to the state's capital, Brisbane. There he began performing at premier nightclub The Family, who were so impressed with his skills, they made him a permanent resident in 2004.

Following his move to Brisbane, tyDi's touring schedule increased, with his music and style sparking the interest of promoters and peers alike. The young DJ was invited to play nightclubs and festivals across the country, including the famed Slinky and Godskitchen events. Throughout this time, tyDi also pursued a more traditional musical path, studying a Bachelor of Music Technology at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.

In 2006, just two years after completing high school, tyDi competed in his first Sony inthemix Top 50 DJ Poll, and came in at #12. The following year, he placed at #4, before reaching the top spot for the first time in the 2008 competition. In the same year he was spotted by Australia's First Lady of Trance beXta in which he released his debut single "Familiar Streets" on beXta's own label Mixology Digital Records. Familiar Streets featured vocals by Holly Ryan. TyDi's next single slated for release via Mixology Digital Records was "Is It Cold?", later got released on Armada Label following an out of court settlement with Generationext, tyDi's management at the time.

2008 proved to be a big year for tyDi. Aside from his win in the Sony inthemix competition, he also received acclaim from fellow DJs around the world. His track 'Meet Me in Kyoto' was the first track to be signed to record label Armada and also featured on 'Amsterdam 08' by Markus Schulz. Schulz also featured tyDi's track Russia on his 'Ibiza 08' release. That same year, tyDi was involved in the Queensland Government's anti-binge drinking campaign Every Drink Counts, producing the soundtrack for a series of hard-hitting advertisements. He also created the theme track for Sunshine Coast mixed-use luxury development Emporio and was involved in the music production of several yet to be released video games.

At the end of 2008, tyDi was invited by dance event giant ID&T to close Melbourne's Sensation NYE party. Following that performance in front of 42,000 fans, ID&T extended a further invitation for tyDi to play the Trance Energy festivals throughout Australia and Holland in March 2009, the latter of which saw him share the Main Stage with trance heavyweights Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk and John O'Callaghan.
tyDi released his first full length album 'Look Closer' on 25 April 2009. In May of the same year, it debuted at #2 on the AIR Dance Album Chart. In August 2009, tyDi cemented his place in Australia's dance music scene by taking out the #1 position in the Sony inthemix Top50 DJ poll for the second year in a row.
tyDi's most recent remix is the remix he did of Allure (aka. Tiësto)'s track "Show me the way" featuring the vocal of JES.

tydi supported Armin Van Buuren during his A State of Trance 500 tour performing in the finale in Sydney on 16 April 2011. His latest artist album, Shooting Stars, was released in the US and Europe on 12 August 2011 and the rest of the world on 13 August. (Source: wikipedia.org)

DJ Armin Van Buuren

Armin van Buuren is one of the most popular DJ’s around:  voted number one twice by DJ Mag, 30 million listeners to his radioshow and worldwide gigs. His ‘76’, ‘Shivers’ and ‘Imagine’ artist albums are award-winning, his Armada Music label is a big success and the amount of fans is still growing fast.

Awards & Accolades
Armin van Buuren has been named number one in the prestigious DJ Top 100 poll twice in a row, in 2007 and 2008– voted for by over 350,000 people across the world, as an indication of his prolific output over the more than 10 years he’s been dj’ing and producing. Being the official World’s Most Popular DJ is just one of his many achievements, but the driving force behind his success is an overriding passion for dance music.
Even a basic list of recent successes reads like a lifetime of work: he was awarded with the prestigious Buma Cultuur Pop Award in 2008. This was followed by being voted as the Best Trance Artist in the Beatport Music Awards judged on the musician’s artistic achievements, national and international success. Next to that, Armin was awarded for Best European DJ at the 2009 IDMA Awards, along with 3 other Awards. It is evident that Armin van Buuren has become one of the decade’s most influential trance acts.

A State of TranceCause aside from recognition and ever-going fan support, it’s the music that means most to Armin. The perfect example of that given fact, is his weekly 2-hour radioshow ‘A State of Trance’.  Listened to by 30 million EDM lovers, he continues to deliver his fans a selection of the best in trance and progressive, no matter how cluttered his tour schedule might be. The 8th birthday of the show was celebrated in style with a cross-country 72-hour live broadcast, with three events in Germany, UK and the Netherlands. In addition to the weekly show, Armin also started the weekly ASOT podcasts, which contain highlights and Armin’s favourite tracks from the previous episode, to ensure that trance lovers across the world will never miss another episode!

Armin Only Sold-out shows for Armin Only in 2005 and 2006 created eager anticipation of the third edition, which kicked off in a sold-out Jaarbeurs in Utrecht in 2008; over 16,000 fans attended and were enthralled by the DJ’s nine hour set. The theme of the night was ‘Imagine’, described by Armin as “the celebration of our sensations both in life and in club land.” Fans all around the world needed not to despair, as ‘Armin Only’ tour dates were also set for Romania, Poland, Belgium, Australia and USA; aside from his ‘normal’ tour in England, Scotland, Ibiza, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, with expected dates in, for an example, the Czech Republic. On New Years Eve 2008-2009, Armin managed to draw 35,000 people to his Armin Only show in the Los Angeles Sports Arena, making him the first Dutch DJ ever to have drawn such a big crowd to an own event. How it all began Born in Leiden, Holland (on December 25, 1976) to a musical family, Armin indulged his passion for music from a young age. He spent all the money he earned with his paper round on records. His mum won a computer when he was 10, gaining Armin’s interest. “So as a little nerdy kid I was writing my own basic programs, and learnt about the technology from there.” He progressed from making low-profile mix tapes for friends to higher profile mixes when he discovered experimenting with different sequences on his computer through his uncle. “I was so stunned by what I saw him doing on the computer, that I got addicted to creating music right there and then!”.
